Description
Regis Jesuit High School is seeking an ATHLETIC TRAINER. This position will begin August 1, 2023. The starting salary for this position is $40,000 (adjusted based on education and experience) with full benefits.  To learn more about Regis Jesuit, please click here.  

The Athletic Trainer is responsible for preventative treatment and treatment of existing injuries of student athletes and coaches. This includes daily coverage and game/event coverage. The Athletic Training department consists of 4 full-time Athletic Trainers.
The Athletic Trainer reports directly to the Athletic Director and works in conjunction with coaches from each sport.
 
Essential Job Functions 
  • Providing athletic training services to student athletes under the direction of the team physician or by written referral from a physician
  • Maintaining appropriate general treatment orders
  • Providing “athletic training services” for all athletic contests and daily practices
  • Maintaining accurate records of injuries and treatment
  • “Athletic training services” are defined as the management and provision of care of injuries to a physically active person as defined in the state practice act with the direction of a licensed physician.  The term includes the rendering of emergency care, development of injury prevention programs and providing appropriate preventative and devices for the physically active person. The term also includes the assessment, management, treatment, rehabilitation and recondition of the physically active person whose conditions are within the professional preparation and education of a certified athletic trainer. The term also includes the use of modalities such as mechanical stimulation, heat, cold, light, air, water, electricity, sound, massage and the use of therapeutic exercises, reconditioning exercises and fitness programs.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred
  • BOC certified (or will pass certification exam prior to employment)
  • First Aid/CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certified
  • Current registration with DORA
