Description

Regis Jesuit High School is seeking an IIS Formation Coordinator to begin in the 2023 - 2024 school year.

This position may be included as additional responsibilities on a faculty contract (.7 Coordinator + up to .3 class load) with the Coordinator position receiving a stipend starting at $34,000. The faculty portion will be placed on the Faculty Salary Scale, based on education level and years of experience (scale begins at  BA, Tier 1: $43,505 to MA45, Tier 30: $97,064). We give 1:1 credit for the first ten years of teaching and 1:2 for years over ten, with no maximum until Tier 30. 

If the position is not combined with a teaching load, it will be paid $25/hour. Average weekly hours will be between 25-30. This position will follow the school year calendar.

Position Summary
The Ignatian Immersion & Solidarity Formation Coordinator is responsible for introducing and sustaining the mission & values of the IIS program among the Regis Jesuit community. Primary duties for this position involve 9th grade formation and new RJHS parent onboarding, a new senior capstone based on senior immersions, and special projects that aim to form our schoolwide community in the IIS vision and the Jesuit universal apostolic preferences.

This position is part of the Ignatian Immersion & Solidarity office and reports directly to the Director of Ignatian Immersion & Solidarity. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Onboards 9th graders, transfer students and their parents into the IIS program to promote clarity of expectations and share the purpose of the program among the RJ community.
  • Plans and coordinates logistics for all freshman to participate in at least one freshman community day (400+ volunteer placements) throughout their freshman year.
  • Reviews 9th grade student logs according to the expectations outlined in the student handbook and in accordance with our mission.
  • Acts as the primary coordinator for Senior Capstone projects.
  • Pulls and prepares MobileServe data every week to aggregate a list of students on formation contracts, and every six weeks to be used in progress reports for students & parents.
  • In addition to the 9th grade class, student caseload involves all 10-12th grade students on a formation contract.
  • Follows up regularly with students on formation contracts to help them on an individualized basis and offer support when obstacles arise (mental health, socioeconomic barriers to participation, etc.).

Additional Formation Projects

  • Plans and coordinates logistics for special projects such as the International Samaritan Global 5K. These projects aim to form the schoolwide community, animate our mission, and support our community partners.
  • Plans and coordinates the new Senior capstone project in support of strategic bold moves to encourage thoughtful discernment and articulation of formation in student immersion,
  • Researches and promotes meaningful community engagement opportunities that align with the IIS vision.
  • Assists the IIS Team in coordinating all IIS programming at Regis Jesuit High School.
  • Assists the IIS Team in 9-12th grade IIS accountability and fulfillment of graduation requirements.
  • Other assignments as assigned by the Director of Ignatian Immersion & Solidarity.

Requirements (Education, Experience, Required/Preferred Skills)

Required:

  • Experience with multi-day and overnight service-learning experiences with Secondary Education Students.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with students, parents, and administration.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Catholic, Jesuit Education and familiarity with the Jesuit Mission.
