Regis Jesuit High School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute English teacher to cover a parental leave. The position will begin in mid-October through early February.  Salary is determined using the Faculty Salary Scale, based on education level and years of experience (scale ranges from BA, Tier 1:  $53,4643 to MA45, Tier 30: $102,263). We give 1:1 credit for the first 10 years of teaching experience and then 1:2 for additional years. The position will be eligible for benefits after the waiting period.

Expectations Include:

• Experience in teaching rhetoric and composition
• Ability to teach AP-level classes
• A bachelor’s degree in the subject area (MA preferred)
• A Colorado teaching license, comparable certification, or working toward alternative licensure
• Teaching 5 out of 7 class periods per two day cycle (Block Scheduling)
• Commitment to the life of the school outside the classroom through coaching, advising, and moderating extra-curricular programs
• Attending assemblies, prayer services, masses, service opportunities
• Modeling Christian values and contributing to forming student values
